Steven Simpson
As Managing Director of Cruden Homes East, Steven oversees all development, commercial and construction operations whilst promoting the overall growth of the business. A qualified chartered surveyor with more than 25 years’ experience within the residential development industry, Steven originally joined Cruden in 2001 and was promoted to the position of managing director just three years later. A pivotal member of the board of Queensberry Properties, his expertise is applied to the formation of land deals, as well as effective management of commercial operations. Steven brings a wealth of experience across all markets and he has established relationships with key influencers and stakeholders throughout the property sector.
Nick Waugh
Nick directs all acquisition projects while managing asset activity for Buccleuch Property. He also heads up the company’s long-term planning for strategic sites. Joining Buccleuch Property in 2003, Nick has over 20 years of experience in commercial property. A Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors he has spent all of his career in asset management across a variety of different property sectors throughout the UK and abroad. Now, as a key board director at Queensberry Properties, Nick leads on high quality opportunities for the joint venture through the bidding and appraisal processes, and strategic planning.
David Peck
Kevin Reid
A key member of the Queensberry board, Kevin has 19 years of direct experience in the construction and residential development sectors. A graduate in law from Edinburgh University, he then joined Arthur Andersen to undertake a chartered accountancy qualification. Having successfully completed this, Kevin qualified as an Insolvency Practitioner by passing the Joint Insolvency Exam Board in 1995. During this period, he worked on large, national insolvency assignments and internationally on a consultancy basis for World Bank & IMF funded projects.
Kevin joined Cruden Investments as Group Finance Director in 1999, and was appointed Group Managing Director in 2005. In these roles he has been responsible for the strategy and financing of all of the Group’s construction, property acquisition and development activities and has overseen a significant period of growth for the Cruden Group.
He also sits on the board of Cruden Foundation, a shareholder in the Group, which has charitable aims and supports charities in Scotland involving health care, community benefit, and the arts.
